| Students learn how to use a video camera |
Why?...because you’re at a turning point in your life, you're not just a kid anymore, and are asking questions about how you’ll be able to do important things in the world.
...because you want to learn more about yourself, your motivations and your actions.
...because you like media and want to learn to use modern 21st century technologies.
...because you have a story to tell, and digital media can help you tell that story.
You can take part if you’re an 11th- or 12th-year student anywhere in the world (or roughly ages 16 thru 19). We highly encourage group participation - so get a teacher or other adult from your school to register and sponsor your class or group.

| Students discuss critical issues |
As a community, we explore questions about life and our relationships with other people. We look for online media that serve exemplify the points we’d like to make. We build portfolios that let us use these media to tell a story of our own. And we share these stories with others in our community, which includes local school, partner schools and the public at large.
You’ll start locally, by reading and then discussing questions with your friends. Then you can participate in email groups with others around the world. You can share stories and ask questions online. And you can make your own media - video, audio, photographs, or whatever you’re into.

Schools: Every student must be linked with a participating school or community group. There’s a web page containing information about each school, its teachers and students. A teacher or other adult is responsible for coordination. The school account can also contain its own portfolio, selected from among the works the students mark for “sharing” from their own portfolios. Explore the pages of other schools to get ideas about the types of projects you’d like to take on. And you can partner with schools anywhere in the world to explore new questions and form new relationships. Project Happiness staff will help you with this process.
Parents: We make every effort to ensure that your child's information is kept private. By working thru local schools and teachers, we encourage local supervision of discussions and projects. Materials put online by students are not made public without the approval of the adult who's responsible for your child's group. If you have questions about online material from elsewhere in the world, please let us know your concern right away at info@projecthappiness.com. Our privacy policies and terms of service are available online.
