Share your video with Project Happiness

YouTube - Here's what you need to know...

Step #1: You can add YouTube video to your account whether you have a YouTube account or not. But if you plan to create and upload your own video, then set up an account at YouTube now. It's free. Upload any video that you'd like to share. Video has to be online before you can add it to your portfolio.

Be sure you are already logged-in at ProjectHappiness.com. This will save you a lot of time. Go to MY ACCOUNT and then My Portfolio. It doesn't matter whether you already have media in your portfolio or not.

Step #2: Now, in a second browser window, looking at YouTube, find the individual video that you want to add to your portfolio. You must be on the page showing only the single video you want to use (see the screen shot). Find the Embed box on the right side. Copy the contents of that box to the clipboard.
Step #3: Now, this is the important and final step! Go back to the window containing your portfolio at ProjectHappiness.com (you should still be logged in) and click the Add video icon.
You'll see a panel where you can add a Title, the Embed Code (which you have in the clipboard) and a Comment. Paste the embed code into a new portfolio item. (We've drawn a red outline around the EMBED box.) Everything will look slightly different depending on the browser you're using.

This is what the panel will look like (more or less) after you've pasted the EMBED code, and before you've added a Title and Comment (they're optional). If you don't add a Title, the title from the BLIP.TV episode will automatically be added when you click Add this video.

Oh, click Add this video. Please.

At this point the video is available to you in your portfolio, and to your friends within your class/school. [We'll provide additional instructions later on how to share your portfolio items with the world.]
